Our Operations

The fields of geriatrics, rehabilitation medicine, and pain management are characterized by well-functioning multidisciplinary teams, something we are very proud of. Our area of operation has a broad mission where it is meaningful, exciting, and developing to work. There are good opportunities to participate in development work and research, and in our work, we implement new knowledge in care.

The Geriatrics

At the geriatric emergency care department 30A, the elderly, fragile person is in focus. We provide medical emergency care with a rehabilitative approach for elderly patients with complex medical conditions and care needs. The geriatric care is conducted based on a clear structure that is specifically adapted for the elderly patient and their needs.

In geriatric care, teamwork is central; both the collaboration of the multiprofessional team and the patient's participation are important parts of the care process. As a nurse at 30A, you constantly collaborate with others, thereby gaining broad knowledge in various areas and a holistic view of the patient with different types of needs. Our work is based on what is important for the patient, and together with the patient, we formulate and base the patient's individual health plan.

Patients come to the geriatric emergency care department via referrals from other departments within the hospital or through the emergency department. We also have direct admissions from the ambulance and mobile nursing teams. The patients who come to us are fragile elderly people in need of structured multidisciplinary care.

Your Mission

As an experienced nurse, you will use all your accumulated skills and experiences around the patient. Here, you become part of a skilled team that works both in acute care and in identifying care needs, planning, leading, and evaluating nursing work and actions. As an experienced nurse, you have the opportunity to participate in one of the responsibility groups within falls, confusion, pressure ulcers, or palliative care. Here, your responsibility will be to convey your knowledge and what you have learned to your colleagues at night. Together, we develop our work that takes place at night to improve care around the clock.

30A has 24 beds, and as a nurse, you are responsible for about 12 patients together with a nursing assistant colleague. At night, there is also a resource that works across the entire department where the need is greatest.

We have night meetings twice per semester, where night staff have the opportunity to sit down together and discuss current topics; sometimes we book lectures, etc.

Your Qualifications

You are an experienced nurse. Broad knowledge and skills in the area of nursing and person-centered care are meritorious.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is confident in their role, calm and controlled under stress, and self-driven. You plan and prioritize work effectively and work well with others.

We Offer

We offer you a permanent position on a night shift. Want to know more? Come and meet us through an interview or job shadowing. The last application date is January 18th, and interviews and hiring will take place continuously, so do not wait to submit your application.
